Pricing and handling offers
Setting a price, a lowest offer, and replying to offers.
Setting a price
Look at similar items on Sharewear to see what they're selling for. As a rough guide, pre-loved uniform in good condition often sells for around a third to a half of the shop price. Prices can be from £1 to £1,000.
Offers
Offers are switched on by default. You can turn them off, or set a lowest offer you'll accept. Offers below that are refused automatically, so you won't be bothered by them.
Buyers' offers must be at least half your price.
Replying to offers
You'll get an email when someone makes an offer, and a badge on Offers at the top of the page. You have 48 hours to reply:
- Accept. The item is reserved for that buyer for 24 hours while they pay. Any other offers are declined.
- Decline.
- Counter with a price between their offer and your asking price.
If the buyer doesn't pay within 24 hours, the item goes back on sale automatically. Either of you can also cancel an accepted offer before it's paid, from Offers.
